Learn to manage a workforce

Pacific’s management and human resources degree combines a core education in business fundamentals with the specialization in human resources to prepare you to enter an array of industries. You’ll learn skills including employee acquisition, performance evaluation, leadership development and handling compensation. You’ll also develop expertise in understanding the legal aspects of HR, from civil rights to labor laws.

Hands-on education

Develop your professional skills and build networks through internships, case competitions and real-world class projects. Coursework for the human resources degree emphasizes hands-on learning, with management coaching classes where you’ll both coach and be coached. Guest speakers will present real industry challenges, inviting your solutions.

The Eberhardt Career Management Center, will give you access to alumni networking events, career coaching and assistance finding internships or jobs.

The workplace is evolving, becoming more dynamic and complex. Skilled managers and human resource professionals are in high demand to navigate these changes and support thriving workforces.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, human resource specialist jobs are projected to grow by 8% over the next decade—double the average rate for all occupations. That means about 86,000 job openings each year, making this an exciting time to enter the field.

Management and HR Student Association

The Management and HR Student Association can help you become actively involved in the industry through student events and professional networking. 

In recent years, MHRSA has visited potential employers like Google, Facebook, Uber and LinkedIn. It has also sponsored workshops that employable skills, working in HR and an etiquette dinner. As a member of this association, you can also join case competitions against students from 15 other universities on the West Coast.
